What is a Vegan Diet? A vegan diet excludes all animal products. From red meat, chicken, fish to eggs and dairy. The reason behind this might be ethical, environmental, health-related or a combination of all that. So what does a vegan diet consist of? All the rest! Even though it is a diet that one may find restrictive, it is abundant. Vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, mushrooms, seaweed, greens and herbs...even flowers! What is Raw Living Food ? Raw, living food is a way of cooking-actually uncooking vegan food. It is a bit more specialized than a basic vegan diet, as it goes beyond ingredients and extends to food preparation. Instead of baking, boiling, frying and other traditional cooking techniques that use heat, raw living food is prepared by soaking, sprouting, blending and dehydrating. This light processing of the ingredients allows the valuable enzymes and nutrients of the food to stay intact and give you more energy, easier digestion and better nutrient assimilation. This way you can experience all the foods in their highest vibrancy, just like nature intended. Why Mixing Cooked and Raw Cuisine? Although Raw Living food is a powerful and mindful way to eat, it is not for everyone to eat a 100% raw food diet all the time. This can be due to climate conditions, social factors or just different needs. The best way to eat is to really try to listen to your physical and emotional body and find out what works for you, through trial and error. What brings you to your center. The is no such thing as a one-for-all diet. We are all unique and have different needs and we are all ever-changing.
