Much like archaeologists, Giannis and I found ourselves in possession of an extraordinary amphora—meticulously adorned and crafted with unparalleled skill. However, our challenge lay in the fact that, akin to many archaeological discoveries, this amphora lay shattered into numerous fragments. Now, I comprehend the source of archaeologists’ enthusiasm. The endeavor to reconstruct the unearthed object propels them into the exhilaration of methodically piecing together all the parts, progressively guiding them to the joy of restoring the object, which, in turn, begins to narrate its own history. Essentially, this is what they sought from the initial strike of the shovel. Consequently, we unveiled a narrative dating back at least 5000 years, honing in on the 5th century BCE. This period held significance as the Greeks had touched upon the ideal, compelling us to somehow revive the history of those days.
